*An extra help permission slip must be sent in the day before attending extra help. You can pick up your child from afternoon extra help or they can attend Aftercare for a fee. The form is found below. -

Reminders:
*If you are having your child change from bus to car rider or car rider to bus, or if they will be a walker, then please send a note in their folder or an email.
*If your child is getting picked up early, please send a note or an email informing me.
*If you sent in a note in their folder, I will send a quick email telling you I received your paper note informing me about dismissal changes or early pickup. If you don’t hear from me, please call the office so they can inform me. Papers can easily get lost! I’d rather receive an email.
*If the change happens during the school day, it is best to call the front office so they can let me know about dismissal changes and early pickup right away.

Orange notebook is the Agenda Book. (Where homework assignments for the day will be written-starting in the spring).
Blue notebook is the Spelling H.W. Book. (Where spelling homework is completed.)

Homework books(“Skinny” Math & blue spelling)
The small math book called "Additional Practice Workbook" is the math homework book. It comes home to be completed and returned to school the next day, along with the blue spelling homework book, and "Take Home Folder". The orange "Agenda" notebook is where the children will write down what homework they have for the day, which will start in the spring. The blue spelling notebook is where they will complete their spelling homework or other assigned homework.Please take out any forms from the folder I send home. Just keep the “Homework Helpers”, “signature sheet”, login sheet, and reading log in the “Take-Home folder”.
Please sign the reading log and H.W. every night (Math & spelling separately). Also sign the “signature sheet” when tests have been reviewed at home by you.
Dates to remember:Keep an eye out for the first Friday of the month Mass donations.
Hot lunch starting Monday, October 5th
No H.W., Spirit Wear, & Restaurant Give Back Day is once a month(Usually the first Wednesday of every month.)
Friday, October 2nd is early dismissal at 11:30 a.m.
Monday, October 12th school is closed

Homework*See the weekly homework sheet in your child's "Take-Home" folder for daily homework.If your child finishes their H.W. early, they can study the spelling words, vocabulary definitions, and high-frequency words by themselves, with you, or an older sibling. Math facts, counting, and addition and subtraction word problems can be practiced. They can also log on to learning websites that are on the login sheet for extra practice.
(Logins will be coming out soon.)Also children can:
-Read a "Just Right Book" for 15 minutes or more and log it into their monthly reading log! (*Remember to look for the setting, main events, characters, and main idea while reading to help them understand stories better!)
-Also, respond to the stories by answering this question on looseleaf, "What happend first, next, and at the end of the story?". You can help the children focus on their handwriting and remind them to make 5 star-sentences! -
